MESSAGE FROM THE VOLLEYBALL COMMISSIONER I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to a new sports season. Throughout the CMAC program we are "putting our Catholic values into play". As we work in this Christ centered sport’s environment we have an opportunity to put our values into action.Volleyball offers our students a chance to improve their skill, participate in a team activity, meet other middle school students throughout the diocese, and begin to understand the effects of healthy competition in the development of character. Since "rally scoring" is in effect in all games, our players need to understand that errors result in a penalty. The penalty is awarding the other team both a point and the serve. Players and parents are reminded that questions concerning game play and/or calls should be addressed to the coach never approach an official. When we applaud the efforts of all the team members from the sidelines and stands, we must remember to encourage growth, good sportsmanship and fair play for all. This fast paced, emotional sport will offer countless opportunities for growth in all of us. Thank you for allowing us to develop your child. Carolista Ware Volleyball Commissioner
